There are certain homogeneous foods that have different surfaces, for example, bread having crumbs and crust, meat having different textures. Below is a list of examples of those items and how DietSensor can scan them accurately:
- Fruits and vegetables: scan only internal part without skin
- Bread and Cakes: for items having crumbs and crusts, only the crumb part must be scanned
- Eggs: egg whites and yolks should be scanned separately except when mixed homogeneously
